Can you show me a dictionary definition of bushel that shows that it is a weight?
If it is A weight, then how is corn 56, beans 60, oats 32, etc., all a bushel?

A bushel is 64 US pints, which is a measure of volume. The assigned weights are what are used as a measure of bushels by the industry, but a bushel is absolutely a measure of volume.
