Subject: RE: Conventional seed corn from small company?

West TN
I bought a few bags of Becks 6374 conventional to try out this year for $200/bag

Like you we don’t have ground that is worthy of $300/bag+ seed. Even in a good year our ground won’t support what the top end of what these varieties can achieve.

I’m going with quite a bit of straight RR varieties this year to cut costs. Dekalb 65-93 is RR version of 65-95. 68-39 is RR version of 68-35. 64-20 is RR version of 64-22. According to the book, these varieties also have a conventional number but I have not been able to find any supply.
