Fairbury, NE (Southeast) | I am reading you as two units covering two 40 acre plots? If so used all day long. A 2007 valley will last forever on 40 acres if you have good water. What is the local water like? How much draw down does the aquifer have? If the water is iffy could you start sucking air at the most in opportune time? That is no bueno.
Pivot pads are easy to pour, I would do that yourself, save a little. Running a trencher is pretty straight forward as well. Depends what you want to spend your time on.
Edit: Agree with other poster using gen set and motor be far more economical, and they work just fine over hundreds of thousands of applications.
