It’s obvious who calls the shots in agriculture, the person who always has and always will. The land owner.
Most guys today are happy to be tenant farmers and will never buck the trend. The only person most farmers attempt to show respect towards are their landlords, because it’s the only person they actually need. Plenty of choices for seed salesmen, equipment salesmen, chemical salesmen.
Nobody is going to drop rental land in an effort to make a point. Somebody else will take it.
