Concerning the 18 row 30" planter, I'm kind of surprised that that size was never an offering from any of the big players in the planter business. I know of a few planters around that were modified to that size to match having a 6 row corn head.
I am in the odd farm size where 12 row planter is too small, 24 row planter is too big, so 16 is about perfect, but then 8 row corn head is kinda small and 16 row is too big. Thus concluding an 18 row 30” with RTK for planting and harvesting with a 12 row would be a pretty good situation. Also goes well with getting a class 8 combine versus a class 6.
