I know I am not liable, however, most folks can't or won't pay for a big vet bill. If I took it to the vet, who do you think he is looking to to get his money.
Folks that own the dog can just say they didn't authorize it.
I may not be lagally obligated to end the dogs suffering, but it is not right for the animal to suffer either.
