My father in law refused them for so long. We got along very well farming together but every now and then I'd tell him something 5 times and shout the 6th time. His response was a very angry "don't yell at me"
I'd start laughing then he'd figure out why I was laughing and would chuckle. He retired and then got hearing aids. Told me he didn't know how lonely he actually was until getting them
