The ban is still in the bill, it's more like the can got kicked down the road. Basically the way I understand it (you can read the bill if you want) is that there's a 1 year deadline for a "task force" to disassemble some drones and categorize every single part in them and assess them for a safety/security risk. If anything is determined to be a risk, DJI goes on the do not fly list. If they for whatever reason fail to complete this within a year, automatic do not fly list.

So basically if the drone(s) chosen pass the security assessment, DJI won't be banned, and a new drone needs to be disassembled once every few years to keep it current. As for your T40's, if DJI does get banned, the general consensus is existing drones can still operate, but no one knows for sure. What's interesting though, is that AgriSpray isn't listed as a dealer on DJIs website anymore, regardless of the potential ban.

Between the J100 and T50, the J100 is better in most categories. Its basically a reskinned T60. I can go into a deeper comparison if you want.

The P150 from XAG is better than both in most categories.
