Subject: DIY Ceramic Coating

Curious about the quality difference of Ceramic coatings? Commercially applied vs DIY.
I bought some Protect Systems Paint Pro EVO Ceramic coating earlier this fall and just getting to putting it on. We typically use paste wax on all our machines applying once a year when they go through the shop in the winter. The Protect Systems guys tell me their product lasts 5+ years.....maybe he's a liar? At $175/bottle (I bought it for $150 - farm show price) it maybe better last that long. One bottle did an 8245R, a 4020, and the easy parts of our payloader. I did the paint correction myself before applying. It was easy to apply, very slick and glossy finish. Just curious about the longevity and if anyone else is using it to replace wax.
Did I get taken for a screwing or is it the real deal? I see some guys quoting 2-4k for commercially applied Ceramic coating which at that price I'll keep using my Turtle wax.
