WCIL | I bought a used 24 row 1775nt high speed planter last spring. it had about 5,000 acres on it When I bought it I put probably a thousand acres on it last spring when I bought it in the middle of planting season. Was going over the inspection on it today and the inside of the opener discs have worn around the outside and have also developed some cracks. I've never seen this on a seed disc and neither had the tech that was doing the inspection. The disc still measure around 14 and 13/16 so they've got enough blade for me to run another year. The seat tube guards looked fine and no unusual wear on them. Was curious if anyone seen something like this before or any ideas on what caused it?
He mentioned that they've come out with different disc openers with heavier rivets and a seed tube guard with a different torx screw instead of the bolt and nut to hold it on.
