I got sucked into one of these when I was younger. The premiums will pretty much eat any gains. Learned the hard way. Don't do business with that financial advisor anymore. Ditto what Boone says. Actually what is hard for gains to overcome is the often times 8% Premium “load” that is subtracted from each payment, then what’s referred to internally as “M&E” expense, which is the monthly deduction from the cash value for mortality cost and company expenses. And if a savvy person were to do a deeper dive into the mortality cost, you’d find no great deal on the internal term cost vs shopping for a banded premium, stand alone level term rate. |
