Water softeners aren't going to lower your TDS much, they just change your Ca and Mg into Na.
If that was my spray water I'd add at least 2.5 lbs of AMS per 100 gal and then lower the pH with citric acid when spraying herbicides that like lower pH (like glyphosate).
