Subject: RE: Types and forms of boron per application type

Central Missouri
The original question was on boron. Boron is mobile but only a loss problem if cec is under 10 or massively excess rain.
For 99% of farmers broadcast or band is the best way to do 90% of their boron.
Foliar boron is inefficient as it doesnt translocate in the plant so new growth comes out deficient unless you spray it on every 2 weeks the entire season and then the most beneficial part of that is when rainwater washes it to the base of the plant for root uptake.
Study the boron uptake curve it tells the whole story.

If your soils have adequate boron for root uptake then foliar supplementation at key timings is efficient and effective.
