I am in the process of building my retirement home. My son is taking over the farm. Yes, I am very fortunate. Anyhow we will be putting a stackable washer and dryer in on the main floor. The appliance salesman told me that I will get lint in my dryer pipes that are in the wall. Will have to be cleaned or vacuumed every year or two. Makes sense, I do that now with my vent pipes in the basement. The HVAC people that are going to install the dryer pipe and venting say it won't be a problem. I will never get lint in the pipe. What I am proposing to them is adding a secondary lint trap that can be accessed and cleaned from the interior wall of the laundry room. Never heard of such a thing they tell me. One thing I know for sure is I will never be able to slide the whole stackable washer/dryer away from the wall to access the pipe behind it. Any stackable stories that someone would want to share? |
