South Central MN | There are scanners but the cheap ones are nearly useless. There are photogrammetry apps for your phone that do work but won't have much detail or accuracy.
The scans you get from anything short of a professional scanner will not produce a printable model. You will need to use the scan model as a sort of framework/pattern to build the real model over the top.
Now, that's are guys scanning in things like toys and printing them, but accuracy there doesn't matter as much as when trying to scan to build a replacement planter part. | |
