WC Indiana | I think you nailed it Brian. I farm a lot on 1/3-2/3 but it only works on 200 bu + corn ground. Like another guy mentioned rents got up to 400-500/ acre a couple years ago but I was still getting $1,000. I dropped a good farm that was 1/3-2/3 back long ago because I freaked out how much rent they were getting. The key thing is how much am I getting. It just boils down to it's really hard to farm marginal ground no matter how you rent it. Virtually same input cost as the good ground.
