Ft. Ripley MN | I truly hope no one actually believes that Canada will be the 51 state??? Did everyone forget 4-8 years ago when trump said things because he wanted to make it happen??? Someone of it was over the top and people believed him. He has a plan and an agenda… as to what it is who knows!! Negotiations?? Sometimes you have to ask for more or strongarm the situation to actually get something you want..

Far as Canada being a 51 state I think that would be perfect… will it ever happen?? I doubt it. I do think the relationship between the two countries should be more fluid and open in my opinion especially dealing with commerce, agricultural, and tourism.
Far as Canadian healthcare… I’ll pass. Let’s be honest for a second. It’s not free you are still paying for it and secondly has there ever been a government run program that actually was effective and helpful?? Yes our healthcare is stupidly expensive but once again does everyone forget it wasn’t that many years ago when Obamacare was passed? The great program that was supposed to make it better but made it worse. I remember alot better healthcare that was actually affordable then. There needs to be accountability and itemized billing for healthcare. Lastly there needs to be choice… who you want as a doctor… what you actually want for healthcare. Privatize healthcare and give the choice to the people… it will sort itself out after a few years. You need private industry for innovation as well.. sure the government may help fund it but I’m pretty sure it’s private individuals who have created the innovation we see today. I wish I could remember now but I believe almost all medical innovations come from the United States along with Israel.
I understand there is a need for some government programs and what not but they sure like to screw things up with all the extra fat that isn’t needed…
Maybe have went a bit off topic but I would gladly welcome the Canadians, I personally think the majority share the same morals and values that we do south of the border
