Subject: RE: Canadian farmers opinion

Sask
Canada is socialism at work, so our "right wing" parties are all fully Socialist therefore any discussion of the failures of the "right wing" Doug Ford government in Ontario and elsewhere is another check mark for the failure of Socialist ideals.

Just because the media calls a party "right wing" does not mean the party is following principles of smaller government, individual rights and freedom, private business without government support, fiscal responsibility, etc. Each time a government expands size and reach of government, grows the debt, funnels tax payer money to corporations, removes personal rights like covid did - then that party is not adhering to any of the principles of the political right. So it does not matter if the media or the party calls themselves right wing - they aren't. But since the average Canadian simply goes by what they are told (a trademark of socialism) vs what the reality is - then this label of right wing stands.

I am in Saskatchewan and we have 3rd world health care. Our socialist programming says we have the best in the world, but we don't. And when you realize you don't have good healthcare, you don't even have a choice to seek alternatives. You suffer the same as everyone else.

Also, we don't have a publicly operated healthcare system in Saskatchewan and this is likely the same elsewhere. We have a publicly fubded health care that is privately operated. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is an independent body, makes its own decisions, elects its own members, and runs the provincial health system. A private entity using taxpayer funds is rarely the best model - but our socialism will say it is. In fact many people beleive our healthcare is government run - its not.

My mom finally quit as doctor a few years ago, 75 years old and on call in the ER wing at one of Regina's main hospitals. She was going to retire years sooner and was waiting for the system to hire some new doctors but all the system was able to do was add more administration. She finally had enough when it became clear the staff wasn't coming. She was sleeping on the couches while on 48 hour shifts at 75 years old. Walk into an ER wing and there is always patients on carts in the hallways, no room, no time to be looked at. If you are conscious and not bleeding out in the ER waiting room then wait times are a few hours, and 8 hrs is more common.

Present goals of the healthcare system are to get wait lists for medical treatment to under six months. I think they are getting that accomplished though. So good for them. However if you are looking to get something elective done, you will be closer to 6 months. And if you can afford to get some better care, or want to get on the fast track to get medical care done before the problem gets worse - you have no choice. You wait in line like everyone else who can't manage their own lives and must rely on government to take care of them. But if it is ever suggested to create a two tier system where those who can afford can pay to get better care, then heads explode. Because Canada is socialist so everyone suffers equally.

We don't have the best healthcare in the world, far from it. How many people travel from Mexico or the US to use Canada's healthcare infrastructure? Never heard of a single one. Know of many people who go to the US and Mexico because they would die in Canada before the Canadian system even got around to looking at them. So how does that make Canada the top?
