Here one could sue for damages in small claims court. One would have to sue for each loss to keep it small enough
Once you win then you can get a lien on the property, or anything you can find.
If it is cash rent, I would sent the rent certified so they get it on time and farm the ground. If the other guy plants it, just make sure to harvest first.
You may have better luck discussing with the new renter if he is known.
You want him to breach the contract, not you.
In the end, if you can get him to pay for your fertilizer and field work with out to much hassle, you would probably be ahead.
I am not a lawyer, but it looks like your lease should be valid and the other one is not. Him telling you to farm it as normal is renewing the lease.
