After my grandpa passed I helped my uncle prep for cleaning up the estate. When it came time for the kids to divide it all up my uncle told my dad, the oldest, he had first pick and he was to pick the .22 and it was to be mine. So that’s how I got grandpas 22. It’s a wards western field single shot. I’m sure it was cheap in 1932 It’s had a million rounds down the barrel all the kids learned to shoot with it and I’m happy to have it.

The day my grandsons were born I bought them Henery 22 lever guns. The oldest is 7 now and he’s shot it but I did t give it to him yet.
