No trails open in eastern Manitoba yet
November way too warm so swamps / marshes werent frozen when the area got a good snowfall in December which insulated it and groomers couldnt get through. Lakes were only about 5 “ ice depth new years eve close to Ontario border. Did see 2 sleds go across a lake at parents cabin but they were flying.(we didnt even bring sleds out ) Warm weather (above freezing) from christmas to new year prob eroded about 1/2 of the snow cover and even more on the lakes. Since then temps plummeted so hopefully that will freeze everything up to where groomers can roll.
The trails never did open last year in the area with no snow so hoping things turn around yet this year.
