Those features (and others) have been creeping into vehicles to be utilized and perfected for the inevitable switch to self driving cars. One needs to realize that babies born today will never have driver's licenses. Yes, they add cost and complexity to vehicles but like traction control, ABS, and stability control, they make vehicles safer since the car can "react" much faster than a human can. |
