| I remember when I was 14,riding my motorcycle to the Pamida store 2 towns away..
I bought a Glenfeild 22 with a scope and several thousand rounds of ammo. I am not positive on the price but I believe it was $39.99.
I tied the ammo on my luggage rack and fastened the gun on and rode home.
And to top it off, I wrote a check for the purchase. No ID required.
No one batted an eye for any of it.
Times sure have changed. Now a 62, it takes longer to do the paperwork than it took me to drive there, buy the rifle and drive home.
Our farm stead was pretty much rat free in about a month. | |
