SW MN | Have sold enough farm items on FB that I usually know within the first few messages how things will go. "What's your lowest price?" guy isn't going to buy. Million questions guy isn't going to buy. "I'll talk to my wife/husband" isn't going to buy. "I'm interested but can't come right now" is never going to come. Profile picture is his senior picture with Dads tractor in the back is never going to buy.
Most of the serious buyers want to call and have a conversation. More often than not they have more questions about the logistics of getting the item from you to them than about the item itself. Most guys who are successful buying on fb don't do too much screwing around and they show up and pay the asking price for the item.
I don't sell too much on there so I generally entertain everyone who messages me but if you are doing it enough you learn who not to waste too much time on. | |
