East of Broken Bow
I really can't figure out how the Pos Office works anymore. We live a bit East of Broken Bow, sister in law lives near North Platte (West about 2 hours or a little more). If we send each other a letter, they both go first to Omaha (4+ hours East) then from Omaha they go back to North Platte, and then back from North Platte to Broken Bow. Why in the world does a letter sent in North Platte go to Omaha, then back to North Platte, then to Broken Bow? Sister in law says that all mail that does not have a North Platte zip code goes to Omaha far as she knows. Then it arrives from Omaha in bags tagged to whatever Post Office they need to go to from there. Basically the mail that gets picked up goes West to East to wind up in Omaha, then from Omaha goes way West again, then works it way back East again and gets distributed.
