I just want to be able to buy a new car without all the nannies.

Hydraulic power steering assist and no 'lane keep assist' or 'automatic emergency braking' or any of the unnecessary cost adding software (parallel park assist, 20" HVAC screen..). Electric steering assist is designed to fail, and sometimes requires proprietary software to 'pair' the steering unit to the auto. BMW taught us that 20 years ago with the Z4.


I absolutely hate the nanny features on wife’s Lexus . Aggravating to say the least . My 16 ford had that junk on it too , a good tech with a scanner cured that . :)
Same one that’s now riding the box .
