Lawton, MI | Disabled vets are able to claim exemption in Michigan on their primary homestead property. Pretty simple application need lettter from military stating 100% disability or unemployable, and is applied. In past had to supply letter every year. Going forward after apply is in effect until they move or pass. Surviving spouses also qualify. They still have to pay special assessments ie weed control if on a lake, or sewer assessments, drain assessments,etc
