You don't state what size mini split you have but mine in the house is a 18000 and only requires a 20 amp breaker. I can't imagine setting it at a lower temperature and leaving it running for a few days would be that expensive if it's a true heat pump and doesn't use heat straps. I would think some of your tools use more power. My thoughs would be to at least get it above freezing temp.
