I detest large airports with a passion!!

Allegiant flies between Grand Rapids and Phoenix.   The Gerald Ford airport isn’t tiny but not large by any means perfect for me.  Mesa Gateway is even smaller.  I have 2 cousins in the greater Phoenix area makes visiting relatively easy.  Got 2 younger kids and it goes well.   I see they go into Destin FLA as well.  

Highly recommend them.
