The moisture has to go somewhere. Usually that's outside. It doesn't care if it goes through dryer vent or just migrates through the walls, windows, and ceiling/attic, and that ain't good for the house.
Leaving all that humidity inside will lead to mold/mildew. Vent them outside.
The moisture is captured and put into the same drain used by the washing machine.
