First, Agco doesn't offer a powershift in their wheeled tractors any more. At 165 hp and below, they offer a partial powershift. I don't have any hard and fast numbers on fuel usage between the 2.
I am assuming the 70000 counts the Fendts that have been sold with that transmission since 1996 plus the Agco/ Massey/ Challengers.
I know of a local 78XX series IVT tractor that couldn't do tillage work. Just worked like a good old IH 986 hydro when hooked to good drawbar load. Deere traded him into a 8XXX powershift to solve his problem.
Agco is using the SISU engine in most of their tractors. Small Masseys get a Perkins. The SISU motor came along at the same time the CVT tranny did. This is the engine line acquired when Agco bought Valtra. High horsepower Massey tractors had used the engine for several years (since early 90s) so it is not a "new" engine to Agco products.
