Really blessed to be a 10 minute drive to one of the highest corn bids in northeast Indiana. Bean market could pick up some by hauling to Dreyfus in Claypool which isn’t quite an hour. I’ve considered starting with a bean bin for that reason. Especially if I could use it to blend, rehydrate, or dry a little at times. Logistically not being able to harvest long days or on Sunday doesn’t help but we get done. I know I’m not going to be able to afford to put in a system to hold 120k bushel in a couple years time so it’s all what makes the most sense to start with. There haven’t been much in the way of capital expenditures on this farm for nearly 30 years so just trying to peel the onion back a layer at a time.
