| After 4000 acres the tires on my 1770 16 row CCS need replaced. Looking for something that will give me the greatest flotation and stubble resistance. I no-till between last years rows, so I will be driving on top of a old row.
The implement tires leave a rounded footprint in the soil, with most of the compaction in the center of the track, right where I want to plant next years crop.
Would a radial truck tire spread the compaction more evenly, carry the load ok, and would it stand up to the stubble? A LT 285/75R16 looks to be about the correct size and maybe a LT305/70R16 might fit.
I see these tires fit on a range of rim widths (8.0-9.5). Would a different rim width change the tire width?
Thanks in advance | |
