Subject: RE: Arthritis diet

North Central Illinois
I was diagnosed with an autoimmune arthritis in my early 20's. Mostly under control with medication but would occasionally flare up.

A couple years ago I started a daily 16 hour fast and drastically reduced sugar and refined carbs. I've felt significant improvement and definitely notice the next day if I eat cookies and donuts at a social event.

I'm not zero sugar, but try to use maple syrup and honey (mostly so that sugar isn't 'cheap' and I think about whether it is worth it).

Eggs, beef, lamb, vegetables, cheese, and home made butter, yogurt, and whole grain bread are my staples.

I'm convinced that if bread doesn't get moldy sitting on the counter for a week that there's something in it that I shouldn't eat.
