Arkansas | I’ve ran several of these for the last 20 yrs irrigating rice. Best thing I’ve found is to take small power washer and wash the cooling fins and oil cooler out every spring before using them. Dilute some whitewall cleaner with water in a squirt bottle and soak the fins and cooler down for a couple minutes before washing it out. This will help cut thru all the bugs, spider webs, dirt dauber nests you can’t see.
I’ve had better luck running Kevlar belts for the fan and alternator belts also. Keep them clean and full of oil and they will run a loooong time. I’ve got a few approaching 20k hours. | |
