SE MN | I discovered a feature in Ag Leader's SMS software a couple of years ago where you can creat zones based off an image. I used google earth to dig up some old, bare earth imagery. The soil maps are close for most of my farms but not completely accurate. I basically broke in the farm up into 3 buckets. Low, Medium, and High yield potential. We had already purchased our seed when I discovered this feature, so I just balanced to the population so that the total units came out right. Pops were 154,126 and 154 respectively. I also added in some check blocks. I haven't tallied the 2024 results yet but attached the 2023 summary. I have a little tweaking to do but I think it performed really well. The summary represents about 850 acres.
