I grew up drinking milk straight from the cow. We had Jerseys and dipped milk from the tank daily until I was 33. Grandpa said raw milk had special health property's that were destroyed by pasturazation that medical science could never explain. We switched my son from formula to raw milk at 2 weeks old with the blessing of our family doctor.

I assume he was referring to the proteins that were destroyed in the slow pasteurization process, which is different from today's flash and low heat processes, which is supposed to minimize the destruction of those proteins, yet kill the unwanted bacteria/viruses/etc.
