North of London
I also grew up drinking unpasteurized or raw milk.
Our milk was separated and cream sold, skim milk soured and fed to pigs.

Was brought up eating cereal for breakfast with fresh, still warm, milk from the morning chores.
Remember when I was young we did not have a refrigerator so keeping milk from spoiling in warm weather was not possible

It worked for us but neighbour family always tested positive when they gave us scratch tests for TB.
apparently they had 1 or more cows that were infected in their heard and I believe their oldest daughter, a few years older than me, had to have treatments for TB.
Youngest was my age and always tested positive when we were tested

I think around that time there was a mandatory testing program of all cattle and those testing positive were hauled away and destroyed
