Supposedly, fluoride is helpful if you are under 12, I think I read, for reducing dental problems.

I believe you are correct about the other issues. Of course, many things are poisonous if taken in the proper volume. Most medicine is poison, but a poison targeted very specifically at what ails you.

I remember reading that Vicodin causes serious problems if taken for decades and is being phased out. That’s kind of a big duh as any medicine taken to that extent is detrimental. I’m certain it was never intended for anyone to take it for that long.
