we've been milking our own Jersey's for going on 13 years now.    It was my wife's idea but I've learned to fully embrace it.   Raw milk is great.   We leave the calf on, so we only milk when we need to.   We have homemade ice cream every couple weeks and all the homemade cheese I want.   

There's a young gal in our neighborhood that sells raw milk for $14 a gallon and has plenty of buyers.   It's legal to sell in our state.   Good little side gig.

Raw milk is perfectly safe is kept clean and cold.
