Miriam and myself met with the powers that be and I give them the information. He was a mind to trade it off and get something more reliable and modern. It is a 2001 Chevy 3500 van chassis with the 6.5 diesel engine. It has always been hard starting and not the best option to have 25 old people out on the road on a December evening.
I think that is the best option.

was the injection pump replaced and timing not set properly with a tech 2?
any glow plug replacement history? anything other than delco 60g or bosch duraterm is junk. when all is healthy they start pretty good.
one thing you might look into is a electric over hydraulic brake setup off a gooseneck trailer, allows you to keep the existing axle and hyd. brakes. |
