I think I used 9" sweeps for over 20 years. When I bought my DMI Tiger Mate 11 I had 7.5" sweeps put on it. I've been very satified with the 7,5" sweeps.
I had a CIH 4800 before the DMI. I think the 7.5's would be OK with it, but keep in mind that the 4800 shanks can and will move side to side by design, and if bushings are worn or springs are weak, it will even move more side to side.
