I Depends on a few factors. “Here” everybody and their brother is an angus bull breeder at the moment. Lots of sales with probably a $3500-4000 average.

I like average cows, which means I can use an average bull. I have no desire to set the cattle world on fire with top notch genetics ($$$$). I buy what catches my eye and has good enough specs. $3-3500 will usually get it done on an angus bull the past few years. Gave more for Herefords and limousines as they aren’t as common “here” and I don’t have the urge to travel 1000 miles to maybe or maybe not buy a bull.

Your bull should last 5-6 years. You can watch peak dot sale on internet and buy one. They take care of all the shipping. Lots headed to Montana from there sale last Friday.

Those Peak Dot bulls look good and stout!
