I worked in a tire shop back in the early 80's and this is what they used when breaking down larger tires with bead breaking hammers. Our fleet man was a man of few words, but I can still remember him famously saying, "I'd like to meet the man that invented Skid... and shake his hand." (We all thought his statement was hilarious at the time, but I'm sure it loses something in this forum.) It really did a great job of breaking the bond between rubber and rusty rims.

I see that you can also buy it in 10 oz spray cans. Good stuff.
