I have a GMC 6500 that was a bear to start in cold weather. ... New batteries didn't fix it. New starter didn't fix it. Finally installed new battery cables and it turns over like it is new.
This is EXACTLY why I teach my students the concept of voltage drop testing. I tell them I'm not training them to be parts replacers, but rather troubleshooters. Those cables could have been tested in less than 5 minutes with a simple voltmeter (and a little knowledge). |
