It is and it isn't. If it can do everything a farm needs, then it's substantially cheaper than qbo or traction ag for example. It's comparable to xero but might have better farm tools.

Yes, there's certainly cheaper options out there but it'll depend on how in depth you want your financial analysis and how smooth you want your data entry to go.

I dropped Centerpoint farm accounting & moved to xero because Centerpoint data entry is very clumsy compared to other modern options. My bookkeeping accuracy and timeliness has increased greatly because data entry and reconciliation is so much easier with xero. In this case, the slightly more expensive xero is saving me money over Centerpoint because of how much time I'm saving in the office. Don't underestimate how valuable easy to use software is for both data entry & analysis.

The flip side of that is that I feel as though traction is absurdly priced for the features it brings compared to other options, so there certainly is a limit to what I'm willing to spend on my operation, and it's probably different than yours.
