Hey Y’all,
Winter has hit and I have finally got a front end loader and bale spear for my 706D so I was wanting to feed with it this year. It was only 36 today in the shed but man, she did not want to start! Even in the summer, I still have to use the glow plug for 45-60 seconds and today I did 2 minutes. Is there any better glow plugs for it (it has the German diesel in it)? Or it is just throw in a new set and call it a day? I know plugging it in would be better but I do not have electricity close and good chance, the coolant heater doesn’t work on it anymore.
If it is a german diesel, try pulling out the fuel shut off handle/cable nearly to the point that you would to kill the engine while turning it over and try to start it.
That always helped immensely when trying to start a 706 with a german diesel in the cold “here”. |
