So, you swore off EVs because you experienced one from a company that are throwing half-baked models onto the market in an attempt to catch up with the sector leader?
Do yourself a favor and at least rent a Tesla and give it a go. I am confident that you will be pleasantly surprised enough that you would change your mind.
