NWC Ohio | It’s a typical harder starting indirect injected engine. Excellent batteries and cables help, as does having good glow plugs, wiring, and connectors. The more hours on the engine and engine wear, the harder they start as well. Reality, figuring out how to warm the block before trying to start when it’s cold is a HUGE benefit. A fresh engine overhaul with fresh injection pump and fresh injectors really help as well. Even then, it won’t start as good as a direct injected diesel in the cold. | |
