E.Central MN | A friend of mine took some chef courses years ago so he likes looking at fancy cooking utensils. One day we met for lunch and afterward stopped at a high end knife outlet store near where he lived just to look at what they had. Prices were ridiculous. I still like my Chicago cutlery set and the whole set including steak knives was less than the cost of one high end paring knife. It doesn't pay to buy a high priced knife set that just sits in the drawer if it's not what your wife actually likes to use. Maybe mention to your wife you were thinking about buying her a nice knife set and then she can have some fun looking at what's out there... | |
